CR500 Kart engine rebuilds
Yup... We received a pair of CR500 engines to rebuild last night.
One, the customer needs back by the 5th so we are using his parts.
Also, it will not be a total rebuild.... Not ideal but I'm sure we can still put a smile on his face
Pics to follow...

Re: CR500 Kart engine rebuilds
So, the first thing we did was get out the Hot water pressure washer and get all the dirt and grease off this engine.
I hate cracking open a engine with dirt and grease on it...
Cracked open the stator cover and found a nice little surprise!
Light weight fly wheel... Yes!! and other goodies...

Re: CR500 Kart engine rebuilds
Hey Blaster,
I work with a guy who builds cart engines for the guys who race around the Redding Ca. area.
One of the "tricks" they use on their CR5 kart engines is to remove all but third gear from the tranny. I guess that's all they need, and it frees
up recip. weight/drag. Hope you guys get swamped with work
Take Care,
Tuck\o/

Yes, this guy runs a Mini Outlaw CR500.
He uses fourth only... So, I'm looking into what that will take...
Of course I have some cool ideas
I'm always busy... I just have to learn to pace myself and make money doing it
