KX500 head gasket, which side goes up?

If you look at a KX500 head gasket you will see on one side the water jacket holes are larger on one side then the other..
So which holes go on what side?
Install your head gasket with the small holes facing away from the water pump (Left side of the bike).
On both the Cometic and the Athena head gaskets the dimpled side of the gasket goes up.
