How to remove your fly wheel when the threads are stripped

How to remove your fly wheel on your dirt bike when the removal threads are stripped and a standard puller won't work...
It happens every once in a while.
We get a bike that the previous owner ruined the threads for removing the flywheel.
Since you can't use a standard puller and a 3 claw puller won't work either, what can you do?
Here is one simple method that will keep you from ruining your crank.

As you can see, I welded a socket to the outside of the fly wheel.
Then I took a heavy weight (Which already had a hole in it) and put an axle though it and welded the open end of the axle to the socket.
Now you have a cheap slide hammer.
A couple of bangs and it came right off.

***** EXTREME CAUTION ALERT !!!! ******
When you weld the socket to the outside of the fly wheel, you are going to ruin the fly wheel.
And, if you don't keep the stator cool, you might also ruin it.
So why do this?
Because it can save your crank....
If your crank is bad and your going to replace it I would ruin the crank and save the flywheel and the stator.

Got a better method?
Show us :D
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
