Grease your stinkin bearings!!!
Brand new sealed USA bearings and this is how they come..
Looks like they got a squirt of WD-40 on them and called it good.
No wonder guys are toasting their bearings after one season.
When you get a new bike or any new sealed bearings, take the seals off and pack them good.
Our local bearing house recommends 1/3 total capacity.

Re: Grease your stinkin bearings!!!
Here is a perfect example...
A guy sold me a 07 Polaris Phoenix 200 quad because it had a bad noise in the rear end.
He said he thought it was the rear brake but it sounded like a much bigger problem to me so I bought it cheap.
When you tried to turn the rear axle it would squeak like crazy.
Here was the problem.

Re: Grease your stinkin bearings!!!
And believe me when I say that this bearing did not want to come out.
After the heat was applied it came out with some difficulty but, it came out.
If the previous owner had taken it to a shop to get it fixed it would have cost at least a few hundred dollars.
Why?
Cause the manufactures aren't putting any or very little grease in their bearings
SO GREASE YOUR STINKIN BEARINGS

Re: Grease your stinkin bearings!!!
So, I took a little trip to our local bearing house and picked up a replacement bearing for $10.
First things first, I opened it and confirmed that it had grease in it.
The bearing house told me that it should be at 1/3 total capacity.
Check!
Clean the bearing mating surface.
Check!
Install bearing.
Check!
Next!
