RainX Headlight Restoration KIT review by OEM-CYCLE

On the TV most every night you see ads for miracle headlight cleaners, polishes, restoration products, and magic potions.
So, how do they really work?
I went down to the local Auto store and picked up a RainX Headlight Restoration KIT and will try it on my piece a junk 95 Toyota T100 pick up.
Here is the KIT and all it's contents.

Here is the RainX info from their website:

Over time, headlight lenses become oxidized rendering them hazy and yellow. This causes headlights to shine less brightly, which is dangerous for the driver and others on the road.

The RainX Headlight Restoration Kit provides a deep clean to yellowed, hazed headlights with the use of a specially designed polish and sealant.
Product Features

Helps restore clear plastic by removing haze and discoloration
Improves visibility with clearer headlight lenses
Multi-step kit provides a deeper cleaning process than single step products
Saves money: Don’t replace headlights when you can restore them

Product Usage Instructions

First, three grades of sandpaper are used in sequence with a spray lubricant to remove yellow haze
Second, a fine RainX polish is used to remove scratches and minor imperfections
Third, a sealant is applied as the final step to leave you with ultimate visibility

Here is a picture of the directions:

As you can see the headlight is noticeably clearer.
Because of this I'm sure the headlight will also appear brighter then before the cleaning.
The only two questions I have is,
1. How long will it last?
2. Will it yellow with time?

Over all I am very impressed with this product and give it a temporary 5 out of 5 Stars :D
The real test will be over the next year or so.

Now I'm wondering how this will work on motorcycle plastics?
That being said, I would not use the supplied buffing pads as they are way to rough for motorcycle plastics.
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
