I'm Lukas Martinella from Italy.
viewtopic.php?f=67&t=694 this is my CR125R 1993, my first job.
I had a dream: KX500.
In italy for have a half liter or you are rich or you are an enthusiast with some tools (all tools... ) little money and little know how.
Ok i'm not rich...
I found a 1990 kx500 near here for about 2000$ but it needs some work.
The frame is ok but it's black... ok I've a friend that he can repaint with powder coating after a micro sanding treatment.
Wheels: front it's ok, rear...the rim is broken, the spokes...only someone. No problems, I found an original spare part.
The big problem is with the engine. The crankcase... it welded many times, it has a little holes, the right crankase cover is seriously damaged!
The piston is old but maybe the cylinder is good.
And now... start to rebuilt!
Next time the pics!
Excuse me for my english.

Re: KX500 1990
Your English is good!
The only Italian words I know are the ones my Great Grandmother Matilda yelled at my Great Grandfather when she was mad at him.
Something tells me those are words are best not said in public
I can't wait to see your rebuild.
Any questions?
Post them up!
