Well it's not as cold as it could be. The north end of this island is on roughly the same latitude as anchorage in Alaska but because of the gulf stream warming the seas round here it's not that cold -3 has been the coldest. But it is humid too. The other day it was -1 in the shed with 75% humidity. I know this because the weather station has eventually come for the dyno.
It is the humidity that screws up my phone I think

I assume you are talking Celsius?
That's still cold enough...
It's currently 4C and 70% humidity.. We are suppose to hit -4C later in the week so I have a good idea where your at
If your shop isn't heated there can be little incentive to make you go and touch cold tools

I had a heating system a few years ago but it needs to be sorted out to run good again. But it made a lot of mess in the shed so it is getting moved outside into a shipping container. The dyno could move out there too.
I've dug a big hole outside the shed on the site the container is going and it's going to have a 2 cubic meter tank insulated and concreted in, this will be a heat store/buffer tank for the hot water.

Did I see you are moving Mike? Hope it goes well. Must be a mammoth task!!!

Yeah, Moving stinks....
But it's all for a good cause...
Lower expenses, and more time to play on my personal projects... oh yeah, looking forward to the after effects...

Not been much progress here but project is still in my sights.
Dyno fabrication done, for now. So on with pumbing.
That's the mount for the fuel tap that the fuel pressure regulator is mounted to. More later, going to make a manifold for all the pressure/vac feeds next. Also the tank fouls the top of the carb and the throttle cables so it's going to have to be re done.

This is a couple of brackets for holding the filter for the water/meth injection.

The alloy cylinder is a bubble trap, I've made this to try to make sure there is an uninterrupted supply of water to the pump. You can see it standing up as it will be mounted on the bike in the last picture.

Looks like you are covering all the bases.
Have you found anyone else that has attempted a similar project with the KLX?

Just a reflection of the relation of time spent thinking about this to the time spent actually doing. It's been better weather round here lately, probably that has spurred me on.
I have not heard of any forced induction fun being unleashed on the KLX, it is nothing like as common as a lot of the other similar bikes of different make, that's not to say it has not. There is a video on YouTube of a KLR 650 with a turbo fitted, no info on how it ran though.
