Re: The Haas KX500 build. Dyno Doug Haas
The day I received the frame it went straight to the Powder Coater for some Prismatic Powders Kiwi Green.
While I was waiting for it to get done I ordered up some of Jonathon Bells engine brackets for a little extra bling.
No, I will not be using these bolts for the project

After Powdercoating I always run a tap down all the threaded holes...
Yes... My powder coater plugs the holes off but there is always some residual junk in the threads and I like to torque my bolts down and not have to worry about false readings.

The 2019-21 master cylinder fits perfect... And add a little Hammerhead products for some extra bling..
I also like the fact that the KX450F rear brake lever is a little longer than the KX500 rear brake lever.
It offers more leverage and looks great!
Also, the Hammerhead clevis and spring kit eliminates the spring on the rear brake lever.

Here is the money shot... Will the pipe fit and clear the reservoir on the shock?
Of course it does!

To check the pipe clearance I had to partially assemble the chassis.
While I had this together to this point I checked the clearance of the shock and linkage in it's full range of travel.
It looks great!
No, this is not the engine I will be using
This engine is for mocking it up only..

This is the engine that will be going in this build for the time being..
TSR Billet cases with hydraulic clutch.
Cost on these as of 4-1-22 $2200 AU.. At this time that's about 1700 US plus shipping.
Something special about this crank... Thanks Steve Parris at Parris Racing Concepts.
And, check out that full stuffer

I wanted to verify that my 19-22 KX450f forks would fit on my custom clamps.
Very nice...
