2019 KX450F rear shock on a KX500

Yeah I know, that stinks but I will likely mess it up several times before I get it right.
But that's ok, it's my money :lol:

There are two main reasons why the shock will not bolt right on.
1. The pipe will hit on the reservoir.
2. The clevis is the wrong size.

On the early KX450F shocks you can remove the clevis from the shock and replace it with the KX500 Clevis.
But, I can't do that with the 2019 shock because the internal threads are the wrong pitch :roll:
But, the solution is to simply reduce the length of the 450F clevis and then drill and tap it.
Since I wanted the shock length to be the same as the KX500 I measured it out, marked the holes, and drilled them out.
This causes another issue but I will discuss that later..
In this pic you can see how much of the clevis has been removed.
